The risk of not maintaining your salvation

Text: Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage”. KJV

One of the greatest responsibility that any believer is endued with, is maintaining the {freedom of salvation} that Christ wrought for him or her on the cross of Calvary by living a life of righteousness in obedience to the leading of the Spirit and to the Word of God.
Philippians 2:12, “So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, [work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.]” WEB

When we were not yet saved, we were under the bondage of the devil, and he control us at will. All we have ever suffered was as a result of his works because slaves are not treated with kindness but with pains.
For instance: When the cure for malaria epidemic was not yet known, it killed so many, but when the cure was discovered, freedom was given to as many as that are held in its bondage, but it takes the responsibility of the sick to find a doctor, and be treated to be free. So even do the cure for malaria is available, those who are ignorant of the cure can still die from the effect of it. Matthew 9:12, But when Yahushua heard that, He said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. KJV

The price of our salvation was fully paid once by Christ the (greatest physician) on Calvary, and we never paid Him or called out for Him, rather He came down as a gift that is borne out of the Fathers love John 3:16, but any believer who does not remain steadfast in that freedom of salvation Christ/Mashiah Yahushua offers will end up becoming like dogs who would always return to their vomit. 2 Peter 2:22(a)But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again;
Please note this!
It is better not to be saved at all, than to be saved and not maintaining that salvation and to end up in the bondage of Hell forever.
2 Peter 2:21, “For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them”. KJV

Brethren! Christ has made us free because he wants us to be free! So, be strong and continue to be free. Do not let yourselves become slaves again. EasyEnglish.

Why the Need for this Freedom by Salvation.

Romans 5:12, “It was because of one man, Adam, that *sin came into the world. And because Adam did not obey God, he died. So, as a result, all people died, because all of them failed to obey God. EasyEnglish.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

The penalty for an unrepentant disobedience is a separation from God, just as Adam and Eve were cast out from the presence of God, and Yahushua being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and (became obedient) unto death, even the death of the cross. Phil 2:8 KJV.
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

It would take a lifestyle of obedience not just to maintain your salvation but to also secure your place in the divine presence of God.

Christ/Mashiah Yahushua reveals in Matthew 12:43-45
[43] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
[44] Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
[45] Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Friends! Unclean spirits are demonic spirits that are saddled with the daily responsibilities of influencing and ensuring (filthiness) on the believers and their greatest weapon is sin. Because every sinner is a man in bondage.
Yahushua Mashiah / Christ did not die to keep us in sin, He died to free us from the influence and bondage of sin unto righteousness, but still maintaining a lifestyle of sin is still been held in bondage, for the evidence of our freedom is in our lifestyle of righteousness.

(Evang. Murphy Amos)

Reflect on these?
Romans 6:1-2 KJV
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Let’s Pray!
Father Almighty, I thank thee for the gift of my Salvation You wrought in Christ/Mashiah Yahushua out of your love for me.
I receive grace daily through the leading and quickening of Your Holy Spirit to maintain a lifestyle of righteousness as that is the evidence of my sustained salvation.
By the light of your Word and the gift of your salvation, I receive freedom from every yoke of sin that has entangled me in bondage in Yahushua’ name. AMEN.
