Christ was the living embodiment of the Law—He lived love. His life was a call to action, a call to do something—a call to love. We should strive to emulate His perfect example.
When Yahushua summed up the Ten Commandments, He said, “Do this: Love God and love others.” In our personal walk with God, we’ve come to view the Ten Commandments as a call to action—a call to love. With that mindset, let’s take a look at the third commandment:
“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain” Exodus 20:7 (KJV).
God’s call to action: When My name passes between your lips, let it be a shout of joy, a prayer of thanksgiving, or a song of praise. It’s music to My ears when you praise My holy name; so let your lips perpetually praise Me. Let My name always be on your tongue like sweet clover honey!
Please join us as we commit to keeping God’s name sweet on our tongues, allowing it to only pass between our lips as a shout of joy, a prayer of thanksgiving, or a song of praise.
