“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” – 1 Peter 5:8-9
If you are a believer on the Lord Yahushua Mashiach / Christ, you have a powerful enemy. Satan, the devil, is always on the lookout for those Christians he can devour. A lion can defeat any lamb, so what kind of lamb is the devil looking to devour? What lamb is easier to attack and destroy? The lamb that is far away from the shepherd is the easiest prey!
May we learn to stay close to our shepherd so that we can, by faith, resist the devil. Hebrews 10:22 instructs us, “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” King David said in Psalms 73:28, “But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.”
DRAW NEAR for safety.
DRAW NEAR for strength.
DRAW NEAR for sweet fellowship with the loving savior.
