(Psalms 91:1-16 KJV)
6. Do you know you are exempted from negative news and happenings around you?
Verse 7 – 9: A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
The choice of God as your refuge and your habitation is the greatest decision you have made in this age and time. Indeed, it is a time of intense trials of faith, it is a time of tragedies all over the place, and it is a time when the only news that comes is negative, but you are protected because of your choice… Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation. Stick with that decision, no matter what. Your exemption from evil is predicated on your choice!
7. Do you know you are being protected several times in a day by invisible beings?
Verse 10 – 12: There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
His angels have been given charge. They have been commandeered to make sure you are kept safe! All over the scripture, there are angelic activities and interventions. Today, their operations and activities have not reduced a bit. In fact, their operations and activities are intensified, because the devil has intensified his attacks as well.
You have been saved several times in a day; even this night that just passed, it is just that you didn’t know. This is why the scripture says we should give thanks at all times, because God is constantly watching your back and your front! The angels are ministering spirits for us who are heirs of salvation. They are waiting on us!
8. Do you know that your love for God translates to His favour and deliverance in your life?
Verse 13 – 14: Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
When you love God, He will not only deliver you from all evils, He will set you on high. He will move you to the top of the ladder. He will favour you and cause you to ascend properly. How do you love God?
Yahushua said, when you love me, you will keep my commandments! Your love for God is not just expressed by going to church, singing in the choir or giving a huge offering, it is expressed in your obedience to His word and His ways. And when you love him that way, He will deliver you and He will set you on high. You will get to the peak of your career and you will fulfill destiny.
9. Do you know that when you are in trouble, you are not abandoned and what you need to do is to call upon Him?
Verse 15: He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
God never says there will not be trouble. But one thing is guaranteed. He will be with you in the times of trouble. When you pass through the waters, He will be with you and you will not drown. When you pass through the fire, He will be with you and you will not be burned. In the midst of this chaotic and troubled world, God is with us.
10. Do you know He has promised you that you will live long?
Verse 16: With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation
You will be satisfied with long life. Early death is not your portion. Destiny will be fulfilled. You are not created to be cut off in the midst of your days. God Himself, the giver of life, says He will satisfy you. The Message translations says:
I’ll give you a long life; give you a long drink of salvation! ”
